Cosmelan Hyperpigmentation Treatment

Skin of colour is especially susceptible to hyperpigmentation – dark spots and discoloured skin. Severe cases of acne or excessive sun exposure increase the risk of pigmentation problems occurring.

Hyperpigmentation is caused by increased melanin pigment levels in the skin. It is typically characterised by blotchiness, dark spots and patches of darker coloured skin.

Unfortunately, this can be a long-term problem and can be quite difficult to mask with makeup.

How does Cosmelan hyperpigmentation treatment work?

Cosmelan is a topical treatment that must be administered by a certified dermatologist. It is used to reduce hyperpigmentation through two modes of action – first, it exfoliates the skin so that skin tone can be balanced out and second, it effectively reduces melanin production.

The combined effects of a degreasing solution, Cosmelan cream, Cosmelan mask and Vitamin K cream can be used to reduce the effects of hyperpigmentation.

What does Cosmelan hyperpigmentation treatment do?

Cosmelan is a progressive depigmentation treatment which can reduce dark spots on the skin, while enhancing luminosity and unifying skin tone.
