Growth Factor Serum

Micro-needling combined with growth factors offers a viable solution to many skin conditions.

By adding a growth factor serum to a micro-needling procedure such as Dermapen, the team at Clinicbe Skin of Colour can effectively tackle a number of skin conditions including acne, wrinkles, scars and stretch marks.

How does Growth Factor Serum work?

Our growth factor serum contains specially formulated proteins which are found in a variety of cells within the body. These proteins play a number of roles – however, the most critical one is activating cellular renewal. They help certain cells within the body turn ‘on/off’ in a way that improves skin rejuvenation.

By combining Dermapen with a growth factor serum, women can ‘unlock’ a youthful appearance as the synergistic treatment improves blood circulation, increases cell renewal and defence, and boosts the production of elastin as well as collagen.

After cleansing and microneedling to prepare the skin, growth factor serum is applied in a highly concentrated topical cream which accelerates the healing process and encourages the skin to produce more collagen, while improving circulation and cellular renewal.

What does Growth Factor Serum treat?

Growth factors combined with a micro-needling procedure such as Dermapen can be used to treat a variety of areas on the body including the arms, legs, hands, back, abdomen, face and neck.

The combined treatment can have a positive effect on acne scars, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, sun damage, freckles, visible capillaries and loose skin.

“The hour-long procedure is very comfortable and can be administered in a non-intrusive way. Once your skin is numbed, we’ll use the Dermapen to create tiny punctures in the upper layers of your skin to help it generate new skin cells.

“By immediately applying a growth factor serum, we can boost the skin further so that it regenerates to naturally look plumper, thicker and more youthful.

“The treatment carries no risk of delayed healing, scarring or pigmentary changes, something women with skin of colour can be susceptible to.”
