Tear Troughs (Eye Rejuvenation)

Tear troughs are depressions under the eyes where shadows, dark spots and bags typically appear.

Delicate skin around this area can make the signs of ageing more apparent – the skin can become loose and saggy, leading to wrinkles, under-eye bags and/or dark circles.

How does tear trough treatment work?

A dermal filler-containing syringe can be injected under the eye according to each patient’s unique anatomical structure – a massage is given to distribute the filler evenly for a more desirable result.

Through the use of advanced dermal fillers, volume is gently added to the tear trough area. Since dermal fillers work to replenish lost volume under the skin (which diminishes with age), it can add depth and fullness to the area, restoring youthful looks.

This is an advanced procedure which should only be carried out by experienced Aesthetic Physicians, such as Dr Barbara Kubicka.

What does tear trough treatment treat?

Skin of colour is especially prone to showing noticeable eye bags, dark circles and hollows under the eye. Tear trough treatment is a great alternative to surgery, effectively smoothing out eye bags, dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles under and around the eye.

“I understand how frustrating it must be to deal with bags and dark circles under the eyes, especially if the rest of your facial skin looks young and supple. Prominent issues around the eyes can make a person look tired or even ill.

“Tear trough treatment can replenish lost volume under the eye, effectively doing away with dark circles and shadows, giving you that fresh and youthful look.”
