Dermamelan Hyperpigmentation Treatment

Too much production of melanin in the skin can cause it to become darker in certain areas – a condition known as hyperpigmentation.

The condition affects many women and men of colour around the world. However, hyperpigmentation is not genetic. It is usually caused by an external trigger such as acne, skin injuries, inflammatory conditions, or damage due to excessive UV ray exposure.

How does Dermamelan work?

Dermamelan is a highly effective and practical way to treat hyperpigmentation. The professional treatment contains several active ingredients which synergistically work to block enzymes responsible for the production of pigment under the skin. It is applied as a mask and can be used to treat several types of hyperpigmentation.

Dermamelan is a specialist skin treatment which must be administered by a suitably qualified medical professional who understands hyperpigmentation.

What does Dermamelan treat?

Dermamelan can help to improve many varieties of hyperpigmentation such as Melasma, which can be described as dark pigmentation of the skin. It can also treat Chloasma – patches of discolouration on the face which are a result of hormonal changes most often related to menopause, pregnancy or contraception.

Dermamelan can also treat post-inflammatory conditions which may arise after specific skin treatment procedures, as well as Lentigo, a condition which causes small pigmentation spots all over the body.

“If you’re unhappy with the discolouration that’s on your facial skin or anywhere on the body, you might benefit from this treatment.

“For those with skin of colour, hyperpigmentation can be difficult to hide, causing much embarrassment and loss of confidence levels. Many women have come to me to get hyperpigmentation treated – particularly those that have to stay out in the sun or those that are over 40.”
