Supplements for Healthy Skin

A proper diet combined with the right supplements can make a major difference in terms of skin health.

While an anti-inflammatory diet is important for maintaining healthy skin in all four seasons, it is equally important to dose with certain supplements, so that any deficiencies can be swiftly dealt with. After all, it’s often neither possible nor practical to get all your nutrition from food alone.

How do supplements for healthy skin work?

Vitamins like C and D3 can dramatically improve skin health, particularly in clients with skin of colour who often have to deal with issues like dry or loose skin, spots, discolouration, unevenness in texture, etc.

In the summer season particularly, it is important to ensure the right levels of vitamins to protect the skin and this may require dietary supplements; while in the winter, the harsher climate and lack of sunlight provide further challenges for the skin.

Depending on your skin type and range of conditions, we will prescribe vitamins to be taken orally or inject them for more immediate absorption. We can also conduct an Oligoscan advanced cellular test to determine if your skin health is being negatively affected by heavy metal toxicity or deficiency in certain minerals. This also helps us prescribe the right vitamins to combat your skin condition(s) and improve overall skin health.

What do supplements for healthy skin treat?

Generally poor skin health can lead to a range of skin issues such as dryness, loose and saggy skin, spots, discolouration, etc. Vitamin deficiencies can be a major contributory factor in how your skin responds to the environment and ageing process.

When these vitamin deficiencies are addressed, patients can expect to see healthier skin that looks younger, healthier, fresher and more radiant.

“Skin of colour can be prone to skin issues ranging from acne to discolouration, unevenness in texture, dryness, sagginess, etc.

“Many of these issues can be dealt with by addressing vitamin deficiencies.

“We offer a potent mix of essential vitamins to help women with coloured skin improve skin health and overall sense of wellbeing.”
